Alright Guys, get ready to sell your doghouse...

Welcome to The Internet Gift Guy website.

Get out of the gift-giving doghouse!

I'm gearing this site towards helping all us gift-giving challenged boyfriends, or husbands, with gift ideas for the lady in your life, and hopefully keep our tail out of the proverbial doghouse.

I don't, and won't ever, claim to be any sort of gift guru, but I have learned a few things (the hard way), and I plan to keep learning. If any ladies happen to be reading this, why not give a gentle nudge to your man about this site? Sometimes, us guys need a little push, (ok, sometimes we need to be hit over the head with a hammer), to steer us down the right path.

To get you started, I've created a few tools to help you keep track of Holidays, a Birthstone Chart page so you know what Gems belong to each birth month, and what I like to call, the All-Encompassing Anniversary Gift Table so you'll know what Traditional or Modern gift for your wife and, also, which Flowers to get her.

On another note: Ladies, if your guy has done something especially unique, I'd love to hear from you. Contact me. With your permission, I'll be sharing your stories on Tigg's Blog. As we grow, I'll be looking into some ideas for ways to reward the best stories.

If you're anything like me, you've been stuck more than once for what to buy your wife, or girlfriend, for Christmas, her birthday, Valentines Day, etc. Whatever the occasion, the first question I ask myself is, what does she like? Look at her hobbies, likes, dislikes and pay attention when you go shopping with her. If she's the type that loves to browse from store to store, go with her. Watch what she looks at. Listen when she says, "Ooh, That's cute!". Make a mental note. Jot it down when you get home. Before you know it, you've got more gift ideas than you can shake a stick at. Now, pick one, or three, and surprise her!

If you're still stuck, because you haven't done your homework, have a look at Tigg's Blog.

TIGG Wants To Hear Your Story!

Everyday, many people visit this site looking for gift ideas. I've come up with many great gift ideas and now I'm asking you, my readers, to share your gift giving/receiving experiences for others to see. Your experience may help someone choose an even better gift for their loved ones.

Guys: Have you given a gift that you're especially proud of? Got an idea of something you'd like to give that's really different?

Ladies: Has your mate done something especially unique for a special occasion in your life? Got an idea you WISH he'd would get a clue about? Here's your opportunity to give him another not-so-subtle hint or BRAG about your man!

Tell me your fondest memories and I'll post them to TiggsBlog!

    What Do Women Want?

That's the $1,000,000 question, isn't it guys? This is the question that's baffled most of us for centuries. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, things change. Women have that right, you know... I think it's written in the Constitution (check the fine-print!)... well, maybe not...

Let me tell you what I've learned most women don't want. (At least, the ones in my life!) These are the things that will get you in hot water faster than fresh lobster at a Seafood Restaurant. The no-no's. I think my first mistake was buying my wife cleaning supplies for her birthday. What happened next would have made Scarface proud. It wasn't pretty. Seriously though, there's times when my wife thought I was the greatest for running out and getting her things that made cleaning easier, but please! for special occasions... don't go there! Trust me, I don't care how cool that newest, faster, more powerful cleaning gadget is, if she didn't ask for it.. don't buy it!

Practical gifts have their place, but they're usually not the best idea for birthdays or anniversaries. Like many before me, I had to learn that one the hard way. Thankfully I've kept myself out of the doghouse, for the most part, by remembering that lesson.
